The Esquire's unique circuitry and "biting" bridge pickup created a "merciless, maniacal, tone-machine" when first introduced in 1950. The Custom Shop has painstakingly researched original instruments to be able to offer an exact duplicate of the 1959 Esquire including its maple, '50s "C"-shape, nitrocellulose-lacquered neck and premium ash body, vintage Tele pickup and rare "top-load" bridge.
