Just when we was beginning to feel content with our current guitars, along comes word that the world’s most prolific “retro” guitar builder is producing an extremely limited run of these classic Airline 2P DLX guitars.
According to Eastwood, the Custom Shop Metallic Copper LTD Airline has been fully updated with over $300 in upgrades, including a pair of upgraded Alnico HOT-10 humbuckers, “New Old Stock” 1962 Valco volume and tone knobs, Signed Certificate of Authenticity, and a Deluxe Hardshell Case.
Other specs include an Airline Custom Chrome tailpiece, Chrome “top hat” master volume knob, and authentic Kluson Deluxe White Button tuners.
And for those of you with a serious vintage jones, an authentic Bigsby tremolo unit can be added for an extra $129. The Metallic Copper LTD Airline DLX is selling for $945, and is apparently ready to ship today.
